Irradiation is a technique used in hemotherapy to functionally inactivateviable lymphocytes, cellular blood components, reduce the risk of Transfusion-associated Graft-versus-Host Disease (AT-GVHD), rare but letal. One way avoid it irradiate componentes situations such as: intrauterine transfusion, newborns, patients receiving immunosuppressive therapy bone marrow transplantation. Thus, extremely important that component irradiated and, above all, ensure minimum dose 25 Gy.The policy Brazil implemented through laws and normative decrees, giving rise legal system underpins actions services. In order correct verify absorbed doses quality assurance process as well safety for irradiator operators we describe this paper several physical measurements mandatory support physicist evaluate during after irradiation process. The results obtained from provided guarantee proper radiation methods procedures applied protect patient, employees general public due procedure accordling Technical Regulation Hemotherapy Procedures National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) regulations by Nuclear Energy Commission (CNEN).

Proficiency testing for blood-gas quality control.
